Founded in November 2018, Myaelatt Athan has established itself as a leading independent digital media organization in Myanmar, specializing in political analysis and regional reporting.

Officially registered with Myanmar’s Ministry of Information in April 2019, Myaelatt Athan is headquartered in Pyay, with a network of reporters based in Magway, Bago and Sagaing , Thailand. Since the coup of February 2021, the organization has responded by moving some of its most important personnel to Mae Sot in Thailand, maintaining and protecting the continuity of its work.
